The Guam Solid Waste Authority is a public agency, created by Guam Public Law 31-20, to help its customers dispose of their trash in an environmentally safe and regulated manner. Each week, GSWA employees collect curbside trash from approximately 16,000 GSWA customers and operates residential transfer stations to serve those who do not pay for curbside collection.
GSWA also receives trash collected by commercial haulers through the Hauler-only Transfer Station. GSWA handles more than 90,000 tons of material each year, operating recycling programs to divert as much of the material away from the landfill as possible.
